A complete redesign of the college’s existing website. Internal stakeholders were excited about a new design as they found the existing site hard to navigate, non-responsive, and dated. The existing site was built using a proprietary CMS and hosted on-prem. After working with college leadership, they agreed to use an external hosting provider (Pantheon) and use WordPress for the new site’s CMS.

The largest hurdle I had to overcome was helping the college as a whole understand the purpose of the website. Most looked at the site as a repository for documents and information for existing students. The redesign still meets the needs of existing students, but the priority was always given to content designed to recruit new students.
